•  The conversion was completed on Monday, September 10, 2018, and the NEXTGEN CM/ECF System is now live.



Effective September 10, 2018, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals has implemented the Next Generation (NextGen) of Case Management Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) system.

Three major benefits of the new software are:

1) removal of the Java-plugin,
2) a single user name and password for PACER and electronic filing in all NextGen courts, and
3) an enhanced user interface.

ACTION REQUIRED:

All CM/ECF users who wish to E-File on or after September 10, 2018 must complete a prerequisite.


INDIVIDUAL PACER ACCOUNT:

If you have an individual PACER account, you need to upgrade your individual PACER account.

If you share a PACER account with your firm or office, you need to register for an individual PACER account.

Now that we are live on NextGen CM/ECF, effective September 10, 2018, you are required to link your new or upgraded individual PACER account to your legacy 7th Circuit CM/ECF account.

For consolidated billing and online account management, which excludes viewing and filing, your firm or office may be interested in using a PACER Administrative Account (PAA). More information on PAAs can be found by clicking the link below:
