ELECTRONIC CASE FILING [NextGen] Information




Case Initiating Documents, such as Petitions for Review, Petitions for Permission to Appeal, etc., should be submitted to the Clerk of Court electronically via e-mail at:

During normal business hours you will receive an acknowledgement within 1 business hour; otherwise, please contact the Clerk’s Office at 312-435-5850.

Paper copies should not be submitted unless specifically requested by the court.
Judicial Misconduct Complaints are not authorized to be e-mailed to the court.

All CM/ECF users who wish to E-File on or after September 10, 2018 must complete a prerequisite.


INDIVIDUAL PACER ACCOUNT:


If you have an individual PACER account, you need to upgrade your individual PACER account.

If you share a PACER account with your firm or office, you need to register for an individual PACER account.

•  The conversion the NEXTGEN CM/ECF System was completed on Monday, September 10, 2018.

Effective September 10, 2018, it is required that you link your new or upgraded individual PACER account to your legacy 7th Circuit CM/ECF account.
